Project commenced at Glendale Foods, Salford, September 2014
Building Projects UK commenced a challenging project at Glendale Foods in September to construct a cold store and food processing building which is to be a fast track build, completed in 16 weeks to meet our Clients manufacturing commitments.
Following a fire approximately 2 years prior to the commencing construction of the new building, the existing building has been demolished, leaving the existing concrete slab in place.We have been contracted to construct a new building which is to be formed incorporating the existing slab and using a ring beam foundation
The general construction of the building will include: revised drainage utilising existing where possible, insulated concrete slab bringing the floor up to current building standards. 2 storey steel frame, hollow rib and concrete floor construction, Hemsec insulated wall and ceiling panels. Internal / External food safe doors and frames, Internal steel stair cases with concrete steps. Spiral chiller and freezer rooms are to be formed and links to the existing building containing steel frame and Hemsec walls.
