News ArchiveDecember 2010 Despite the weather there has been a steady flow of work from United Utilities. We are currently half way through a 3 year framework agreement. This agreement sees the Company providing a wide variety of building works throughout the region on all UU properties, ranging from water treatment works to tenanted farms, on projects up to £1m.
November 2010 Repeat business is the name of the game for November. Previous clients TEVA Pharmaceutical and Blythe House Hospice have both awarded our company further contracts, which will guarantee the Company stays busy over the normally quiet winter months. Works at TEVA include a new reception refurbishment and clean room modifications, whilst at Blythe House Hospice we have started a major first floor extension and refurbishment programme
October 2010 The Company’s high care environments work continues to grow. No sooner has the company finished constructing a large scale sterilisation facility in Bolton, a new contract has started on a 6 month project refurbishing Cleanrooms, Sterilisation facilities and coldrooms in Wythenshawe, Manchester. All works have resulted as our preferred contractor status for main contractors BES.

August 2010 Accolades are awarded as the company finishes its current project at Hereford Hospital. The 30 week contract saw the company working within a live hospital environment to create additional bed spaces and associated services In a letter of commendation from Frank Illingworth, Head of Major Capital Projects,the company was praised for “going the extra mile” and providing service above and beyond those expected by the client. July 2010 Record temperatures have seen significant increases in demand for air-conditioning. The Company’s airconditioning division, known as Aircon Projects, is putting the finishing touches to an integrated system in the bar and reception areas for the Garrick Theatre in Stockport. June 2010 The extension to Simmondley Medical Practice draws to a close meeting the tight deadlines required. Working in conjunction with Tameside and Glossop PCT, Building Projects acted as Principal Contractor to complete the high quality project. Project details here
May 2010 Work starts constructing cleanrooms for a sterilisation facility for Wigan, Leigh and Wrightington NHS Trust. Working as preferred contractor for BES the work is expected to last until the end of the year.

The work comprises of an extension for a further consulting room, filing area, councelling room, study room and conference room. January 2010 United Utilities Works continue to include works at Bottom's Reservoir, Vale House Reservoir disabled platform, Goyt Valley and numerous farm properties and outbuildings. At very short notice we designed, supplied and installed a bespoke ducted heat-pump air-conditioning system.. All design, fabrication, installation and commissioning contracted within the 10-day specification. Customer satisfaction exceeded expectations.
